Nantucket Houses (“we,” “us”) operates the Nantucket Houses mobile app and related services. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the app, personalize your experience when you sign in, and improve our market tools.
- Account information when you use Sign in with Apple (such as a stable user identifier and email, if Apple provides it).
- Profile preferences you enter under More → Profile when signed in (such as display name, phone, how you use the market, property types and areas of interest, price range, and preferred contact method).
- Saved listings and notification preferences tied to your account.
- Property and listing activity when you open a property detail page (parcel id, listing id, and how you arrived — for example from the map or Home). We use this to show trending listings and improve the product. We do not sell this data.
- Recently viewed parcels stored on your device so you can return to properties you opened (cleared when you delete the app).
- Push notification tokens when you sign in and allow alerts, so we can send the notification types you choose.
- Messages and context when you use in-app chat or contact Stephen Maury through our messaging partner (property address, parcel id, and related listing details you are viewing).
- AI assistant messages when you use Odin, including property context needed to answer your questions.
- Technical data required to load maps (Mapbox) and to connect to our servers (such as IP address and device type). We do not collect your device GPS location.
How we use information
We use your information to provide search, maps, market statistics, notifications you opt into, personalized profile features, and support from the Nantucket Houses team. We do not use your data for third-party advertising profiles.
Third-party services
Some features rely on trusted partners who process data under their own policies:
- Apple — Sign in with Apple authentication.
- Intercom — in-app messaging when you choose to contact us.
- Mapbox — map tiles (no device GPS location is sent by the app).
- Expo — push notification delivery infrastructure.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the app, when required by law, or with your direction (for example when you send a message to our team).
Retention
We keep account and preference data while your account is active. Listing view and usage logs used for trending are retained for a limited period (typically up to 90 days) and then deleted or aggregated.
Your choices
You can sign out at any time from the More tab, or permanently delete your account under More → Profile → Delete Account. You can edit or clear profile preferences in Profile. You can turn off notification types in Notifications. iOS controls push permission in Settings. You can contact us with other privacy questions.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
